No names are mentioned throughout this scene and the narrators remain unknown at this point.
Personally I find that photography's and cinematography's boundaries blur together from the start until about 55 seconds in. In each of the shots the composition is just so that I can envisage them being used in a promo campaign.
The shots go well with what the scene is portraying. The tightly cropped images force some kind of intimacy between the viewer and rider, even though it would appear each rider is preparing for the race, gathering their thoughts, a very personal moment. The music, or lack of, could be suggesting you are within their 'bubble' as it were. Trapped in that moment where nothing else matters, just the task at hand.
The scene directly after the opening could be a foreshadowing device the directors decided to include. It features the 'main' character Guy Martin in bed waking up for the day, the film almost opens with him in bed. Fast-Forward through the film and we find a crashed Guy laying in a hospital bed (He's fine dont worry). This is one of the last interview scenes that features him in it. This could be a purely coincidental happening but I thought it was an interesting device used.
